"Grand Theft Auto V" is slated to release on the third week of November 2014. Although the game was already announced to run at a resolution of 1080p on the PlayStation 4, there is still no word whether it will be displayed in full HD on Xbox One.
The latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine stated in a feature, "Glimmering 1080p presentation, hugely increased draw distance, 100 new songs, fresh wild-life, a bumper version of GTA Online, this is sandbox you've dreamt about ever since you slotted Sony's angular baby under your TV."
The magazine feature continued, as shown in Gamepure.com, "Farewell 720p. You served your purpose adequately enough. Still, our eyes have been gagging over 1080p's pin-sharp pleasure and the Los Santos sandbox is only too happy to oblige on PS4, running at a native 1920 x 1080 pixels."
In a report by International Business Times, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users are becoming particularly observant on the resolution and frame-rates that next-generation games run on. Based on the released games, PS4 has been more satisfying for gamers, giving games a resolution of 1080p at 60 frames per second, compared to Xbox one of Microsoft.
VG247.com reported that the PlayStation magazine naturally did not mention whether the Xbox One would also showcase the same resolution. Rockstar Games has yet to make an announcement but fans might consider waiting for the official launch on November 18, 2014 to find out. The preview may also be based on an older build so there is truly no guarantee that the resolution information provided will be the same at the time of the game release.
In the same report by International Business Times, Microsoft took out Kinect motion camera on the Xbox One, which will provide more processing power and resources. Having games run on 1080p will be easier compared to the Xbox 360. Rockstar Games is also one of the few video game developers that have the right tools and expertise to turn the game into full HD on the Xbox One. Considering how "Grand Theft Auto V" has a very big open world, the frame-rate will most likely be 30 frames per second.
Rockstar Games, however, promised gamers that several technical improvements can be expected from "Grand Theft Auto V", based on a report by GameSpot.com. some of the additional features for the next-generation and PC versions include additional wildlife, new weapons, activities and vehicles, denser traffic, enhanced damage and weather effects and new foliage system among others.
