iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 new tablets from the house of Cupertino giant Apple are now up for pre-order in India via ecommerce sitesFlipkart.com and authorised reseller Infibeam.com. Infibeam notes that the devices will be delivered on 29th November 2014.
Both devices are available in two variants – iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi and Cellular, and iPad Mini 3 Wi-Fi and Cellular. These tablets come in silver, space grey and gold colour options.
The company launched the duo last month at an event in California. It also revealed pricing of both the devices for the Indian market.
Apple iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi models is available at Rs. 35,900, Rs 42,900, and Rs 49,900 for the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB, respectively. iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular will be available for Rs 45,900 (16GB), Rs 52,900 (64GB) and Rs 59,900 (128GB).
On the other hand iPad mini 3 Wi-Fi is available at Rs 28,900, Rs 35,900, and Rs 42,900 for the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB models, respectively. iPad mini 3 with Wi-Fi + Cellular connectivity is priced at Rs 38,900 for 16GB model, Rs 45,900 for the 64GB model and Rs 52,900 for 128GB model.
Recapping the specification of both the devices, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 come with Touch ID fingerprint sensor and iOS 8.1.
The duo also comes with continuity features that let Apple products to work seamlessly between iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite.
The iPad Air 2 flaunts a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and boasts anti-reflective coating on the screen. The device is powered by Apple-designed A8X chip, which helps to provide “console-level graphics,” and delivers up to 10-hour battery life. The tablet also features 8MP camera capable of recording 1080p video and takes panoramic photos at up to 43MP.
While the iPad mini 3 sports 7.9-inch display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and is equipped with a 5MP iSight camera.
It is powered by a 64-bit A7 dual-core processor paired with M7 coprocessor and 1GB of RAM.
